At Montfort Junior School, we are committed to nurturing every Montfortian into a compassionate leader — one who is grounded in values and dedicated to serving others.

During weekly CCE (FTGP) lessons, form teachers build strong relationships with their students while delivering Social-Emotional Learning, Education and Career Guidance (ECG), Cyber Wellness, National Education (NE), and Values-in-Action (VIA). Interactive tools such as the Thumb-o-meter give every Montfortian a voice, while school-based scenarios provide opportunities to apply the CHRISTE values of Compassion, Humility, Respect, Integrity, Spirituality, Team Spirit, and Excellence.

Respect is woven into the rhythm of each school day, with students practising whole-body listening as a daily expression of the CHRISTE values.

In ECG, Montfortians begin exploring their strengths and aspirations from Primary 3, with early exposure to careers in fields such as maritime and journalism. Mindmaps are used to consolidate their learning.

Responsibility and service are further nurtured through daily VIA practices, such as caring for personal and shared spaces. Montfortians also learn to navigate disagreements through the Stop, Think, and Act reflection framework, and cultivate gratitude by writing notes of appreciation to their peers, family, teachers, and staff. Many of these heartfelt messages are proudly displayed on the school's Gratitude Wall.

Students are regularly affirmed through morning affirmations and personalised feedback in the Holistic Development Profile (HDP), which tracks each student's growth in values over time. The legacy of St Louis-Marie de Montfort continues to inspire every Montfortian — to lead with compassion, act with humility, and serve with love.
